WWE Is One Step Closer To Landing Ronda Rousey

 WWE and Ronda Rousey could soon join forces.






According to a report from fightfull.com Rousey has done some basic pro wrestling training and is interested in stepping into the squared circle:

The budding relationship between WWE and Rousey is one of the worst kept secrets in professional wrestling.

WWE has had no issues with publicizing anything Rousey has done in relation to the pro wrestling juggernaut.www.com did a write-up on Rousey’s appearance at the Mae Young Classic tapings this summer while the site also recently featured a poll asking fans which female superstar they’d like to see Rousey face in WWE.

After Rousey’s appearance alongside The Rock at WrestleMania 31 in 2015, wwe.com even pondered whether or not Stephanie McMahon would be willing to sign Rousey, something McMahon told tmz last November that she certainly wants to do, even indicating that she’d like to see Rousey headline a WrestleMania once her UFC career was over.

And all indications are that Rousey is done in MMA.

After losing her last two fights inside the octagon, Rousey has isolated herself from the fighting world, and UFC president Dana White told espn last month that he doesn’t expect Rousey to fight again:

The next chapter of Rousey’s life could very well be a career in pro wrestling as Rousey is known to be a massive WWE fan, even saying in 2015 that The Divas division is dead and gone, but women’s wrestling is thriving in WWE, and with Rousey apparently beginning training, even if only on a very basic level, she’s one step closer to fulfilling her dream of wrestling in a WWE ring.

Rousey and WWE are, like announcer Jim Ross recently told tmz a “match made in heaven” as WWE continues to focus heavily on portraying its female superstars as athletes rather than eye candy. The signing of Rousey would certainly go a long way toward improving the continuously evolving perception of women’s wrestling, and the fact that WWE reportedly “referred” her to Brian Kendrick for training indicates she’s serious about wrestling and that the company is taking steps to ensure that her first match takes place in a WWE ring.

Rousey’s MMA retirement is pending, and she’s in the infant stages of pro wrestling training, which means that Ross put it best when he told TMZ the following about Rousey potentially joining WWE: “It’s inevitable. 👇

35-year-old WWE star names IYO SKY as her favorite opponent

  IYO SKY's WWE  career has clearly elevated since she was aligned with Bayley as a part of the Damage CTRL faction. The star won the Women's Championship after cashing in her Money in the Bank contract and is now one of the top names in the women's roster. While SKY has been a dominant force on the main roster, Michin (aka Mia Yim) has also been portrayed as a massive talent lately. The star challenged Nia Jax for the Women's Title in a Street Fight on the August 30 edition of SmackDown but ended up losing after  made an appearance.
